Mature skin

The production of skin’s collagen starts to slow from our early 20’s. With less collagen being produced we start to lose the structure and support in our skin, this starts to show as fine lines and wrinkles.  Environmental damage can start to show as pigment or again fine lines etc.  You may be finding that the skincare range you’ve been using for the past few years just isn’t really doing anything anymore, or maybe you’ve never had a skincare routine?  You’ll be pleased to know, it’s never too late to start looking after your skin.

Pigmentation

There are two main categories of pigmentation, hormonal and environmental. Environmental pigment is caused by things like sun damage, acne etc, this is generally the easier one to treat. Hormonal pigmentation can be bought on by birth control and pregnancy and mainly in women, sometimes this can improve with time, but if there is an underlying imbalance, we can help to improve the appearance with a combination of good home care products and in salon treatments.

Facial Thread Veins/Rosacea

Facial vessels/broken capillaries can appear at any time in our life, but they tend to effect lighter skin types (Fitzpatrick 1 and 2) or those who spend a lot of their time outdoors. Sometimes they go hand in hand with a more sensitive skin as their skin tends to be thinner, so vessels are more visible. Rosacea can vary hugely from mild to severe and managing the condition can be very tricky. Lifestyle plays a large part in controlling Rosacea, working hand in hand with homecare products and in salon treatments to help improve the skin barrier.

HEalthy Skin

Not many of us are lucky enough to have normal healthy skin, or you may only experience it for a short period of time in between hormonal changes, life etc!!  But even if you are one of the ‘lucky few’ it is still worth considering the care of your skin, as the old saying goes “prevention is better than cure” and this couldn’t be more correct than in the case of your skin.

Acne

So many of us suffer from problem skin at some time in our life.  For some it may just be some congestion or an over production of oil.  But for those that suffer with acne the effects on their life can be huge.  You may find you suffer from scarring or post inflammatory pigmentation even when you succeed in calming down the break outs.  A good home care routine with the right products plays a huge part in helping to control acne, and then when we have a little control over those breakouts, we can start to tackle the scarring or redness left behind.

Hair Removal

Hair….we either have too much of it, or not enough. Or at least not in the places that we want it!! Removing unwanted hair can make such a difference to how we feel about ourselves, but it can simply make life easier.
